I really love this flower! This one is special because my husband took the photo when we visited Spruce Pine, NC a few years ago. He spotted it near the parking lot of a tourist attraction and was able to get a few pictures of a clump of about six flowers - he said they were too out in the open to have occurred naturally! It is difficult to capture the delicate nature of the lady slipper, I think I went a little too purple and dramatic, but that's one more done!
