30 in 30 - Day 23

A total departure from what I usually do - I painted this from an image I found on Morguefile in order to prepare for a series of paintings I'm planning to do soon.  I may try to do some of the small sketches from my own photos this weekend.
I thought this series of shadows and lights would be simple, but it turned out to be much more difficult than I thought it would be - the shadow side of the face needs some work, I think.  Well, it's late and I'll think about that tomorrow!
